Dr. Reuben Kabantiyok is a TU Cyber Fellow at The University of Tulsa, pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on leveraging AI/ML tools for advanced analysis of material properties, transforming complex data into actionable insights for innovation and precision engineering.
With over a decade of experience in materials characterization, non-destructive testing, quality control, and project management, he has played a pivotal role in research and development. At the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), he conducted metallurgical investigations, failure analysis, and developed characterization protocols for steel, metal matrix composites, polymeric composites, and other alloys.
Dr. Kabantiyok holds an MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the University of Glasgow, where he gained expertise in atomic-scale imaging, semiconductor design, photolithography, micro/nanotechnology, and biosensing. His hands-on experience includes working with advanced characterization tools such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) at the Kelvin Nano-characterisation Centre, as well as microfabrication tools at the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre.
Additionally, he is proficient in 3D modeling software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, and ANSYS, as well as data analysis tools like Minitab. A skilled leader and mentor, he has successfully trained and managed teams, driving efficiency and fostering strong professional relationships. Passionate about research and development, he is dedicated to advancing materials science through cutting-edge technology and interdisciplinary collaboration.
